Thank you for all of this wisdom, Kaitlin. Another way to practice living resistance in these days. We will emerge stronger and more beautiful than ever.

Thank you Kaitlin. Every word of this post speaks to my heart, and I am very grateful for your honest and thoughtful wisdom and creativity. I can get lost in the safety of my coccoon of privelege, and your writing helps me find a way back that can be compassionate, loving and ripe with justice.

In the 1990’s I was part of a Study Circle for 10 years and we called ourselves “The Imaginal Disc”. Now I am seeing the blossoming of this wonderful vision coming into the world again. There are many new imaginal discs emerging within the Resistance. They hold the image of the new world in their cells. Here’s an article that discusses a way to think about the idea of an imaginal discs.

Thank you for giving us more information about this idea. It’s an exciting time to be alive. A time for solidarity.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words. I am especially inspired to think about what I am giving birth to from the imaginal space and how I am engaging in sacred transformation. Recently my writing has been focused on birth-death-rebirth cycles and these ideas feel like good mulch to help my thoughts grow stronger.

‘ In a painful and scary world, how can you use the quiet darkness to propel you toward peace?’

I too have a cocoon

But not dark

And not safe

My cocoon is focus

To see what is.

A cocoon of my mind

Protecting from stray thinking

Thinking of wishing and hoping

To erase the what is

To be tabula rasa

I do not seek peace

I’ll experience my feelings

My chaotic emotions

As they are as they are

As I Peek over the edge

Into the flux vortex

Of human chaos

Of life as it is

Not as a fallen angel

Not as risen ape
