Your words are so powerful. They summon new worlds into being.

Reminds me of one of my favorite seanfhocail (proverbs).

Is buaine focal ná toice an tsaoil.

A word is more enduring than worldly wealth. Alternatively, a word outlasts a lifetime. Everything has multiple meanings in Irish.

John Trudell is a consistent guide and reminder in the power of words. His words have dramatically shifted my perceptional reality. Even just a single linguistic distinction (ie. power vs authority) can sow the seeds of tremendous change.

Go raibh maith agat, thank you for these prayer-words. Your thoughts on poetry brought to mind a beautiful wisdom buried within Gaeilge, the irish language. The word filíocht means both poetry and prophecy. The two cannot be disentangled. Our poetry, our prayers, carry the wisdom buried deep within us, granted to us as our part of Creation. A related line came through recently in poetic ritual channelling. "We are all a prophet of our own Earthsong. All our mother wants from us is that we sing along." We can dig deep for those prayers living within us, embrace their divergence, and find how to interweave (Fite Fuaite) them into a deeper harmony.

This really means a lot to me, thank you. Being in Ireland reminded me of the power of my own poetry and gave me courage to believe in it more deeply than I have. I’m so grateful.

Oh my goodness these prayers are just the thing I needed today! Also, I got Winter's Gifts from our Grassroots Books here in Corvallis, Oregon. I bought it and your other children's book for myself because I love the stories so much! YOU ROCK!
