I love when authors interview other authors, hearing various perspectives, provides lots to ponder!

Selfishly, as I am in the process of writing my first memoir, I would love to hear you interview authors!

Sarah, I will also let you know that if you're not a paid subscriber, I'll be doing an "ask Kaitlin about writing" author series soon where I'll talk more in-depth about the writing process for all paid subscribers (as little as $6 a month). I think you'd enjoy it!

How do I say that listening to your audio version of Native was very soul soothing without sounding like a creeper? All of these sound great- but podcast of poems of essays is top of the list!

hahaha! you're not a creeper! I really enjoy doing the audio books for my own stuff! and I love listening to sleep stories and meditations, so I thought I'd create my own!

I would love to do a book club! Interviews with other authors also sound interesting and fun. I enjoy seeing what questions authors think to ask other authors. Meditation poems and essays sound very interesting too but a podcast format is difficult for me to engage with - I don’t often have time to listen to podcasts.

Katie, I totally understand--I don't listen to podcasts very often either. These would be more short snippets, probably no longer than 10 minutes each time. But I will also still be sharing writing, and each "episode" will be written out so you can read the story too. Thanks for the input! It's always helpful and I'm glad all three ideas are resonating with folks!

That format sounds great! I can do 10 minutes and having it written out means I can read it instead of listening if need be. Thank you for making it accessible in so many ways! Hmm, that means all 3 options sound great and it is hard to choose… which also means whatever option you choose will be exciting!

I would love to listen to poems and essays. A book club would be fun, but I wouldn't want to make a commitment at the beginning of the school year (crazy tired), although I know the book would probably be awesome. I'm not too interested in interviews with other authors right now...so my vote is podcast! Maybe a selection of your work Katilin, and other Native authors that you've been inspired by/enjoy?

yes! book clubs can be demanding, and I'd find a way for this to not be! it's always a challenge!

I LOVE your writing and hearing you read your writing so I'm all over the podcast idea. I would love to listen to you read meditation poems / essays.

I would like to also tick the book club as the books you have recommended in the past have blown my brain wonderfully!!

I am just grateful for the gift of your time. I look forward to when I am able to become a paid subscriber.
