Hello back from the middle of snowy Michigan! Yes yes yes 🙌🏽 poetry is power - we know this because it is sometimes the only thing that holds us together when everything in our world is cracking/has cracked us. Fierce AND tender = ❤️‍🔥 I read something yesterday that said a sign of spiritual maturity is kindness - this felt so right to me (I mean this interpersonally not of course systemically where politeness covers violent caste systems and protects predation…) So glad you’re making the rounds here and hope your readings go beautifully with many kind souls in attendance!

LOved todays entry, taking care of our whole selves is the first step to authenticity and from there we can move out to care for and heal others. Thank you for your work AND you were loved at Glastonbury Abbey!

Kaitlin, I'm so sad to have missed you in Grand Rapids. I was traveling this last week, but I'm grateful for your voice, words, and the embodied way you show up in the world.

Thank you for this, Kaitlin. I feel your authenticity in everything you write and say. I’m Grateful for the way you embrace it and share it.

I also love the way you name yourself as tender and fierce. That naming has helped me understand the vitality of those intersections and how they ground us.

I have come to know myself as someone who is gentle and strong, who lives at the intersections of bitter and sweet, paying attention to the both/and of all things.

Thank you for this important call: "It is imperative that we step into the fullness of who we are right now, in a world of rising authoritarianism, when billionaires gain power and the poor suffer, when war is prevalent and growing on a global scale. We show up to the stages of our lives knowing who we are so that we can shape a better world." Yes.

Kaitlin, thanks so much for your words at Calvin. You truly helped me name some things in my own life. As a poet, writer, speaker, and leader, I, too, have questioned how to speak and show up. Am I being too poetic? Did my talk just make this space feel too heavy? Did I push people too hard on said topic? Etc.

When you spoke about living in the liminal spaces and liminality, a light bulb went off. This is exactly where I find myself. Perhaps the already but not yet keeps me right where I need to be, being who I need to be.

Lastly, I love how you process in real time and let the Creator speak to you, helping you learn more about yourself and connect the dots along the way. Keep being you. You are reaching the depths of people's hearts and souls.

Josh that means so much! And I am so glad my words sparked something in you. May you be your whole, liminal self on your sacred journey.

You embraced tender and fierce so well during your talk at Calvin. How you showed up during the Q&A portion was especially encouraging and life-giving to witness. Hoping to be at Books and Mortar tonight!

Hello from snowy Holland! Hoping to make it to GR to hear/see you tonight! Thanks for being an authentic voice representing voices that have been quieted and those who need to be heard. Words can both be resistance and signs of persistence, as you and many others continue to demonstrate. 🙏🏼❤️

Kaitlin: You are brave, you are strong, you are enough, you are beloved and you are exactly the person of integrity to be speaking to this hour/time/place. The Great Spirit's blessings on your continued writing/speaking and being authentic in this world.

Dear Kaitlin,

Your Calvin talk was deep, tender and fierce all at the same time. I loved every minute of it. (I watched online from Southern California, although my hometown is Grand Rapids.)The dialogue at the end was transformational. When you felt seen, we all felt validated in being and living all our complexities and polarities. Thank you for your bravery, your clarity and for helping us to wake up. ❤️🙏🏼

And an excellent RNS article and much needed. The press also needs constant reminders not to ignore. dt recently expanded the scope and fight for clean water here in Colorado vetoing funding (Arkansas Valley Conduit) that had passed unanimously to finish the pipeline Kennedy started…and no override by Congress. Additionally, a significant number of tribes here continue to lack piped water, have contaminated water, methane from oil & gas development, and/or water rights threaten, ignored.
