Friends,
The month is almost over. I have so enjoyed exploring words and poetry with you, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it, too.
Here’s the reality: the chaos isn’t going anywhere.
The reality is, the chaos has always been around. There has always been war, oppression, pain, harm in the world. We have, as humans, always struggled with how to show up well in the world. We’ve always struggled with finding the quiet in the chaos.
I hope that the words and ideas I’ve shared this month have helped you focus in on that, and I hope that in the future when you’re feeling exhausted, you can enter into your own quiet somehow.
Today’s word is S P A C E .
I thought space was “out there” but now I realize it’s also in here, where my soul meets my body, an entire galaxy, cosmos in beloved motion, a universe swirling, dancing within the cavernous being of my tenderly sprouted spirit.
When swirling chaos all around
surrounds us, confounds us…
Threatening to take up space
in our brain, heart and soul.
`
A deep breath in…
A deep breath out…
`
Stepping off the whirling carousel,
`
A deep breath in…
A deep breath our…
`
Taking space to slow the racing
heart and mind.
Finding inner peace and joy,
Searching for an eternal light
to send out peace
to the tumultuous space
beyond.
Thank you Kaitlin, for the creative and encouraging way you lead us through the chaos. I like the way your prompts are wonderful guides inviting us to open and explore out inner bring. This month, your prompts and the wonderful poems shared here have been lights in the darkness.
