I know it’s been a while, but I have a blessing for you!

It’s a blessing for when things go wrong, those days that are just hard.

I’ve had a few of these lately, and I’m guessing you have, too.

The world is heavy, the world is beautiful, we are constantly caught in between joy and grief.

A Blessing for When Things Go Wrong

Today, the flight was cancelled.

That one, the one I needed,

the one that gets me away, or home, or anything in between.

Today, he tested positive.

That boy, the one I love,

the one that spreads joy like a wildfire.

Today, the dog got out.

That dog, the one who comforts us,

the one who only wanted to be free for a bit.
