We’ve got today and tomorrow, friends.
Let’s ground ourselves back into this space, into this moment.
I think about the timeless struggle between presence and action, our back and forth wondering if we are to be connected here, to ourselves, or connected out there, with everyone else.
It’s both. It’s always been both. It must be both.
I call us back to our humanness today, through words, through poetry, yes, through the actions and embodiments of our everyday lives. Where does it lead us? Who does it lead us to?
Human I whisper, hoping it will spark something back to life in me, in you, in all of us. Human! I scream when another child is killed, or another soul lost to the senseless battleground. Human I seethe through clenched teeth as I try to remember what it feels like to be truly alive. Human I write, hoping that as you read from the other side you feel it, all of it, knowing that you are simply, completely human too.
To create and destroy
To burn and to build
To care and to ignore
To drop and to carry
.
The divine spark in all of us
The evil, too.
I want to believe we're better than this,
But I am oh so tired.
YOUR FAULT.
blame human error.
But if to err is human,
What did u expect?
